AIRAH has provided feedback on the NSW government review of the Design and Building Practitioners Act (DBP Act), which requires engineers to be professionally registered.

In our feedback, AIRAH highlighted the need for alternative pathways for engineers without Washington Accord qualifications, particularly in HVAC&R building services. We have also noted the need for clarity around whether refrigeration work is considered engineering work under the Act.
