APER Vic overview
The AIRAH Professional Engineer Register (APER) is the professional accreditation for mechanical engineers operating in the HVAC&R building services industry. It demonstrates to the public that an engineer is qualified, competent, and ethical.
AIRAH is an approved assessor by the Business Licensing Authority (BLA) in Victoria for Professional Engineers seeking registration in the Mechanical Engineering field.

Mutual Recognition
Under the Mutual Recognition Act 1992, some states and territories have arrangements allowing professional engineers to have their registration recognised in other jurisdictions, either automatically or through a mutual recognition process. This may be faster, simpler and cheaper that seeking assessment through APER in multiple jurisdictions.
