Full program for HVAC24 released

August 12, 2024

AIRAH has released the full program for the 2024 HVAC Innovation Conference (HVAC24), which will take place at Hotel Grand Chancellor Brisbane from September 12–13.

Professor Bronwyn King AO from the Burnet Institute will deliver a keynote speech at HVAC24, following on from her engaging presentation and participation in a panel session at AIRAH’s 2024 Indoor Air Quality Conference in July.

King has worked in public health since 2010, first in tobacco control and more recently on indoor air quality as a special advisor for clean air with the Burnet Institute. She is the founder and CEO of global NGO Tobacco Free Portfolios. In 2019, she was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia and reigned throughout 2020 as Melburnian of the Year.

You can register for HVAC24 via the AIRAH website.

Something for everyone

The three-stream HVAC24 conference will combine the long-running Future of HVAC Conference with AIRAH’s Building Physics and Big Data and Analytics Forums.

Each morning, delegates will gather in the main conference room for the welcome address and keynote speeches, before having the opportunity to mingle over morning tea.

From that point, the event will split into two streams, allowing attendees to decide which sessions they want to go to. Attendees can switch between the streams as they please throughout the conference.

AIRAH Conference and Events Manager Marie Karekla says the event is designed to offer interesting and diverse sessions that cater to HVAC&R professionals of all different specialties.

“The conference will feature over 50 speakers across the three streams, looking at sustainable systems and smart solutions, innovations for building physics in humid climates, and big data's influence on HVAC innovation,” Karekla says.

Breakfast of champions

The Women of AIRAH Special Technical Group will host a breakfast event on the second morning of the conference. The theme of the event is “pathway to success”.

Aside from a delicious meal, the breakfast will also feature an inspiring panel session featuring Claudia Yuan, Stud.AIRAH, Taylor Burdett, Stud.AIRAH and Jennah Halley. The panel will discuss how women are contributing to the future of the HVAC&R industry.

It’s the Women of AIRAH’s second breakfast event of the year; at ARBS, the group hosted a sold-out event featuring a keynote speech from ASHRAE President Ginger Scoggins.

The breakfast will take place from 7:00–8:30am on Friday, September 13 at Hotel Grand Chancellor Brisbane. Registration costs $60 for AIRAH members and $80 for non-members.
