Graded Membership

Open to any Affiliate Members that can show a mix of qualifications, experience, and responsibility working as a professional or practitioner in the HVAC&R industry.

Graded Members can make use of the AM.AIRAH postnominal.

Eligibility for AM.AIRAH

To qualify as an Associate Member (AM.AIRAH), you must meet one of the following:

1. Hold an approved certificate in engineering or physical science and have been actively engaged in the Industry for not less than four years.
2. Have been actively engaged in the Industry for a period of not less than eight years, three years of which shall have been in responsible charge of work.
3. Are in a branch of the industry in which a relevant apprenticeship has been completed, and after completing this apprenticeship shall have been actively engaged in the industry for not less than six years.

How to become an AIRAH Graded Member

To become an AIRAH Graded Member, you must first be an Affiliate Member. If you think you meet the eligibility critera listed above, you may apply using the grading form linked below.

The next step for Graded Members

The next level of membership is Fellow Membership. Applications for this type of membership are open to graded members who have made significant contributions to the HVAC&R industry, and have typically been members with AIRAH for at least 10 years.
