What is the role of HVAC&R in the world of net zero?
The pursuit of net zero emissions has been ramping up in recent years with large corporate organisations and government setting targets to demonstrate their commitment to action. While debates around scope 1 and scope 2, gas or no gas, and solar versus nuclear rage in the media and among politicians, the corporate sector at large has taken a conservative stance on renewable energy and electrification.
Next on the horizon are scope 3 emissions, embodied carbon in construction and supply chains, and downstream emissions from providers and customers.
So, what does this all mean to the HVAC&R industry? Can the corporate sector sort out these issues on its own? And how can businesses stay ahead of the curve, participate in the conversation, and actively help their customers deliver low-carbon outcomes?
AIRAH has invited experts from the construction, design consultancy, and manufacturing sectors to discuss these issues and share their views on how HVAC&R can help customers achieve their net zero goals.
