AIRAH recommends participants complete one module per semester. This
enables you to complete the qualification in two and a half years. If
your schedule permits, you can enrol for more than one module per semester

Can I get / apply for recognition of prior learning (RPL) /
recognition of current competence (RCC)?
AIRAH has an RPL/RCC process available. Please refer to our training
policies.

How are the Graduate Certificate programs delivered?
The Graduate Certificate programs is delivered via distance
learning enabling you to complete the study at a time to suit your workload
and commitments.
How are the Graduate Certificate programs administered?
Upon receiving your enrolment, your details will be checked and processed.
You will then receive a confirmation letter with a copy of the participant
handbook and a tax invoice for your records.
Your course materials will be mailed to you prior to the commencement
of the relevant semester.
AIRAH will contact you by phone during the course of each module to
ensure you have the necessary support and materials.
You will be contacted in writing regarding administrative arrangements
and the outcomes of your completed assessments.
How will I be assessed?
Course work is assessed throughout the semester. Assessment is competency
based and participants must achieve 80% or greater across all learning
outcomes in each module to gain the certificate.
Is technical support available when completing the Graduate
Certificate programs?
Yes, technical support relevant to the course materials is available
on a case by case basis. To arrange technical support contact the course
manager, AIRAH office on 03 8623 3000.
If
I have a project specific question does AIRAH provide technical support?
No - AIRAH
will facilitate a technical expert where possible who may charge for
advice.
How
do I receive my discounted copy of the Building Code of Australia?
For your
10% discount on the BCA, contact the course manager on 03 8623 3000.

When I complete the Graduate Certificate in Air Conditioning
(Code Compliance) qualifications does it allow me to sign off as
per my state regulation requirements?
Not at this stage – the Graduate Certificate in Air Conditioning
(Code Compliance) trains you in the areas you must know to ensure
your design complies with the Building Code of Australia (Volume 1)
and the mandatory HVAC Australian Standards called up in the BCA.
How does the Accredited Energy Efficient HVAC Designers scheme
work?
Upon successful
completion of the Vocational Graduate Certificate in Energy Efficient
HVAC Design you will automatically become an AIRAH accredited Energy
Efficient HVAC Designer. To maintain your accreditation there will be
an ongoing requirement to demonstrate your professional training and
application specific to energy efficient HVAC design.
