What is the scope of the register?

A comprehensive set of criteria has been established by AIRAH industry professionals to assess persons on their competency in energy auditing to Level 3 of Australian Standard AS/NZS 3598:2000 Energy Audits.

The assessment will cover the various options for both new and existing facilities and refurbishments of different types of industrial, commercial and public building types, including:

  • Office buildings
  • Retail Buildings
  • Hospitals
  • Police and court facilities
  • Education buildings
  • Industrial complexes
  • Manufacturing facilities
  • Civic centres
  • Entertainment complexes
  • Aquatic centres

Who is responsible?

An industry panel of suitably qualified persons has developed assessment criteria and is conducting peer reviews. This panel is responsible to the Board of AIRAH for performance in accordance with AIRAH's Code of Ethics.

AIRAH is managing all aspects of the marketing and assessment of applicants. AIRAH will utilise and promote the Register in a broad range of activities consistent with the organisations commitment to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and energy efficiency.
