Daniel is a healthcare analytics leader with extensive experience in public health, data, and technology. He specialises in developing innovative solutions to complex health challenges, with a career spanning public health, government, and management consulting.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Daniel was a Director at the Victorian Department of Health, where he led data intelligence teams to provide evidence-based insights that informed critical public health decisions. He oversaw the development and implementation of surveillance systems and policy planning tools, playing a pivotal role in shaping Victoria’s public health response through strategic analysis and collaboration with health executives.
Prior to this, Daniel managed consulting projects at Paxton Partners, delivering health system analytics and economic modelling for government and healthcare clients across Australia.
As Deputy Technical Director of the Know-C19 initiative at the Burnet Institute, Daniel leads projects in data, technology, and analytics. His team develops innovative AI and machine learning models, bespoke applications, and automated tools to enable the initiative’s research portfolio and support organisation communications on COVID and Health Emergencies.
