Body odour as an air contaminant: What do we know of mitigation by ventilation and air purification?

This paper explores the mitigation of body odours by air purification in buildings. Following a literature review, a pilot study was conducted to assess the performance of a multi-modal HVAC air purification system. A range of carboxylic acids and aldehydes were examined. Longer chain molecules were efficiently removed/neutralised.
