About Theresa Braunsch
Theresa’s carrier within construction took various paths within the industry. She worked in product manufacturing, building services, ESD and architecture on commercial as well as residential projects.
As a Passivhaus designer, Theresa’s ambition is to be led by building physics and science to improve the quality of the built environment in Australia. Growing up in Germany, she took high construction quality and the comfort provided by the built spaces for granted. Theresa believes education should teach appreciation for the environment and available resources. Recycling, awareness of energy consumption, waste reduction, alternative transport and all possible environmental measures should be integrated into everyday life.
Theresa’s current role at Evissa involves ESD and Passivhaus assessments, liaising with stakeholders on residential projects during design and construction. Theresa’s strong consciousness for duty of care is her driver to present practical solutions and provide comprehensive consulting services focused on best practice, by utilizing her material and product performance knowledge as well as relevant assessment tools.
